I love Reubens and my favorite part has got to be the sauerkraut. These little guys are delicious and super simple to make. Great for a meal during the week or on game day.
What you’ll need:
•1 bag of dollar buns (any small slider bun)
•Thousand island dressing
•Swiss cheese From the deli
•Corn beef from the deli
•Bread and butter pickles or any pickles (optional but delicious)
Assemble your sandwiches
•Spread on the thousand island dressing. Add your meat and cheese then your warm sauerkraut (heat up in microwave first) and finally add your pickles.
Cook in the oven at 350 for Approx. 10 mins. Make sure you see that the cheese is melted.
Covering with tinfoil will help to keep the steam in. Just watch so the top of the buns don’t get too hard.
Leftovers? No problem, they are even delicious the next day! Wrap in tinfoil and heat them up in the oven.
You know what else is delicious…Dipping them in mustard. Yum. Try it and if you like it, please give me some feedback!
