Plus it&#8217;s not too sweet. It has the perfect balance of sweetness with these added dark chocolate chunks. This dark chocolate chunk banana bread has a great banana flavor too. It will satisfy any chocolate lover, but you have to like bananas. </p>

What comes to mind when you see a pile of brown bananas sadly rotting away on the counter. My mind immediately tells me to grab a ziplock bag and quickly get them in the freezer. </p>

To be honest, most of my bananas end up in the freezer because they are perfect for smoothies. But if you let them sit too long, you know those really brown ones, they are exactly what you need for some delicious banana bread.</p>

<p class="has-lora-font-family has-custom-font wp-block-paragraph" style="font-family:Lora;font-size:18px">The main reason is my family doesn&#8217;t love it, but I do and we have some other family members that enjoy it as well. I love to surprise my sister and her family with a batch of banana bread muffins and keep a couple for myself. It&#8217;s a gift they always appreciate! Plus it allows me to save more of my bananas haha.</p>

This is the time I find myself creating new recipes. My pile of over ripe bananas and a bag of dark chocolate chips were my inspiration this time.</p>
